Hello there! 👋 I’m Brian, and I’m a tech enthusiast on a mission to conquer the world of networking and IT. My journey began in a small company where I was the one-stop-shop for all things tech – from fixing printers to managing the entire network. It wasn’t the most glamorous start, but hey, every superhero has an origin story, right?
From Small Beginnings to Big Dreams
Determined to level up, I packed my bags and headed to the Great White North – Canada! After two years of intense studying (and surviving the winters), I graduated with Honors in Information Technology, boasting a GPA of 3.96. Yes, I’m a proud geek, and my diploma might have a few coffee stains from all those late-night study sessions.
Certifications and Competence
To solidify my expertise, I earned two certifications that are cornerstones in the IT and networking fields: the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and the CompTIA A+. The CCNA, which I achieved in just 3 months, attests to my proficiency in network fundamentals, IP connectivity, and automation. Meanwhile, the CompTIA A+, obtained in just 2 weeks, showcases my skills in hardware, software, and troubleshooting essential for IT support roles. These certifications underscore my competence and commitment to excellence in networking and IT.
Jack of All Tech Trades
My tech skills aren’t limited to networking. I’m also a programming enthusiast who loves creating nifty tools to make life easier. Whether it’s an auto-rename tool, image compressor, or data analyzer, I’ve built it. And because I wanted to make websites that not only function well but also look good, I dived into the world of front-end development, Photoshop, Illustrator, and even 3D design with Cinema 4D. Now, I can design posters, business cards, and simple 3D models – who knew a network guy could be so artsy?
Blogging and Beyond
When I’m not tinkering with tech, I’m writing about it. My blog is my digital diary where I share my technical adventures, from network configurations to programming tips. It’s a space where I connect with fellow tech enthusiasts, share knowledge, and occasionally post pictures of my latest culinary experiment (I make a mean dumpling!).
What I’m Looking For
I’m on the hunt for an IT-related job where I can flex my networking muscles. While I’d love to land a role as a Network Engineer, I’m open to other opportunities that let me blend my technical skills and creative flair. If you’re looking for someone who can manage your network, automate your routine tasks, and maybe design a killer business card, look no further!
